Crazy Heart

I realize now that it is 1:09 am... which means that I forgot to write a blog yesterday or by midnight yesterday or 1 freaking hour ago. I'm sorry. But I'll write one now and another one later today.

So, I went to school today. Just biology. Started to fall asleep towards the end of class. I seriously need to get more zzz's... and it's 1 am... I sure do know how to take care of my body, don't I? Anyway, it's been really cold lately and not just kinda cold, I mean super cold. It was 46 degrees tonight. Granted, it's been rainy too, which is a bit abnormal. I mean, we've gotten more rain in the past two months than we got all last year. The mountains are actually slightly green. So weird! I spent the rest of the day sitting around doing nothing. Dad got home late, but when he got here, I took off for the Esplanade and saw a 9:45 showing of Crazy Heart by myself. Thank god I was the only one in there. I kinda wish I had utilized the facilities better. You know, maybe dance a bit. Instead, I just sat in the row behind the bar so I could put my feet up. Since I was the only one in there, I spread my legs out all nice and lady-like.

It took me forever to find my way out of the parking lot before the movie. I didn't see anyone else in there, but I was still a little afraid. Plus, it was cold. Spooky. It was slightly easier to find the car after the movie. Got home just past midnight. I loved the movie. Jeff Bridges deserved the award. I don't know if anyone deserved it more since I haven't see the other movies yet. I love the songs in there though! I found the chords for 'The Weary Kind' and I've been trying it out on my uke. But I really want to find 'Brand New Angel.' It's nowhere to be found, however. I'm listening to it right now. "A brand new angel with an old violin." Good lyric, but I particularly love
"At the first light of dawn
We heard that he was gone
Our hearts was empty
And our eyes was filled"

So beautiful. Well, I should go now. It's 1:20 and my alarm is set for 5:45, which means I'll be getting up around, oh, 7:00. And I'll be sure to post again today... it's too late to end with a clever quip. Begone with you!
